Bertus Combrinck - A self-taught artist living in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Born in 1984.

Combrinck discovered that he loved to draw in his early childhood.

At which point he thought that it was only way to stay calm...

But soon he found himself drawing everything.

At one point in college, he drew the guy sitting in front of him after an exam while waiting for the exam time to pass..

Since then things got a lot more interesting...

His attention and focus took a violent shift into chasing Hyper-realism.

Which in turn lead him to enjoying drawing people and animals more than anything else...
 

He still draws the odd car or random object here and there to keep the comfort zone away, but the true passion always comes back to drawing people and animals and giving them that one special thing that you just can't get from a photo....
